Why Extended Stays Are The Future Of Business Travel

Share this:

Business travel isn’t what it used to be – and that’s a good thing! In the past, it was all about quick overnight trips and cramped hotel rooms, but these days, business travellers want more than just a place to sleep that may or may not be entirely clean. What they’re actually looking for is things like comfort, convenience, and basically a place that feels like home where possible – it’s going to make the trip a much better, productive, and successful one, after all.

So what’s the answer? It’s got to be extended stays – they’re a fantastic option for any business traveller so let’s take a look at why that is; keep reading to find out more.

Comfort

After a long day of meetings, the last thing you’ll want to do is to have to settle in somewhere that’s uncomfortable, perhaps because it’s just too sterile and boxy or because it’s not big enough, for example. So don’t do that at all and opt for extended stay accommodation like ROOST Baltimore instead – these places are much more spacious and they’ll often have separate living and bedroom areas, as well as a fully equipped kitchen to make things even better.

In other words, having the space to unwind and live like you would at home can make all the difference to how comfortable you are and how productive you’re able to be on your trip (which is the whole reason you’ve had to leave home in the first place), and you should be able to recharge nicely so you’re ready for whatever meetings or negotiations are ahead of you.

Cost-Effective

Money is always going to be on someone’s mind when it comes to business travel, whether that’s you because it’s your business, your boss because it’s their business, or the person you’re meeting with because they’ve offered to fund the trip. No matter who’s paying, the fact is that they’ll want to make sure they’re not paying over the odds for accommodation, especially if there’s a strict budget to stick to.

The great thing about picking an extended stay room or suite is that instead of racking up the standard hotel bills that come in daily at a traditional hotel, companies can often save a lot of money by booking extended stays – there’ll usually be discounts for longer arrangements, and even if you’re not there that long, the price does tend to be a little cheaper.

Flexible

Business trips can be unpredictable, and although you might think you’re going to be away for a specific amount of time, things can change, and you might need to leave earlier or stay for longer than you’d anticipated. That can be a problem in a traditional hotel, but it’s not an issue in an extended stay because they’re built for flexibility.

That’s one of the best things about choosing extended stay – you can adjust the time you’re there easily without lots of fiddly check-ins and check-outs, and without having to change rooms every time you need to change your dates. That means you can relax more and settle in better, even if your plans do happen to change.
