Today we want to talk about some of the different ways that you can focus on self care and your own self worth this week.

Get Off Social Media

One of the first things you should do if you want some time to yourself this week is to deactivate instagram and get off social media for a while. Social media can be a great way to connect with people and stay up to date with the latest news however too much time spent on social media is never good and it can impact your health both mentally and physically. Ensure you get away from the screens for a day or two and you’ll soon see a huge change in your happiness and mood. This social detox can be exactly what you need and it can really put things into perspective for you.

Try Some Yoga

If you want to try something new this week, yoga is a great option for you. Yoga is not only good for your muscles and your posture but it is also good for your mental state. By practicing some yoga this week you can focus on your own body and clear your mind for a while. This can be a great way to release stress and will make you feel happier and healthier every single day.

Wake Up Early

An early start to the day can actually be the best medicine for you if you are struggling with your own self worth and care. By waking up earlier, you get to start the day more slowly and relax into the day, improving your mood as well as your energy levels. Plus, when you wake up early you’ll be more productive and when you are more productive, you’ll feel the pressure of stress lift from your shoulders.

Get Sleep

Sleep is not only a process that is important for your physical body, but it is one that is crucial for your state of mind too. Sleep is crucial and by getting more sleep every night you will wake up feeling refreshed and you are less likely to suffer feelings of stress or anxiety.

Enjoy a Spa Day

Every now and again we all need a break, and enjoying a little at-home spa day might be exactly what you need to get you through the day. Consider gathering some supplies such as face masks, oils, a bath bomb, a dressing gown, and nail polish if you want to do your own manicure. There are so many ways to enjoy an at-home spa day and these can be a great way for you to unwind and enjoy yourself when you need it most.

Connect with Your Partner

One of the best ways to help yourself feel happier this week is to spend some time with the person you love the most. We all know how busy life can get, and date night can be difficult to keep on the calendar. But if you take the time out of your week to go out for a meal or stay in and cook for one another, this might be exactly what you need to help you feel happier.

Cuddle Your Pet

What can possibly be better than cuddling your furry friend after a hard day? Dogs and cats both make humans produce serotonin when we cuddle them, and this hormone makes us feel happier and more relaxed. By cuddling up with your pet when you are upset or stressed out, it will help you feel happier and maybe the key factor in releasing all of that stress.

Make Time for Your Hobby

Many adults get into a routine where they wake up, go to work, go home, cook, watch tv, sleep, and repeat. This is not a healthy way to live and it often puts us in a rut that is difficult to climb out of. It is important to remember that work is not the only important part of life, and you also need to be able to make time for your hobbies. Take an hour out of your week to enjoy a bike ride, painting, playing the piano, or baking. Whatever it is that makes you happy, do it.
